TIG IPMUX-1/2 is a family of TDMoIP gateways (IP circuits emulation device). The series of products enable the bi-directional transport of one/two traditional E1 (unframed, framed or Nx64K) TDM traffic over IP-based networks (Ethernet, IP, MPLS). The gateway facilitates a wide range of applications, including simple end-to-end circuit extension over IP network and delivery of a variety of legacy TDM services over packet-switched networks (PSN). The IPMUX series of TDMoIP gateways takes data streams from the TDM ports and converts them to IP packets for transmission over the PSN. TIG IPMUX protect your investment in legacy TDM equipment. IP-circuit emulation means there is no need for any additional and expensive IP gateways to run traffic over the IP network.
TIG IPMUX-1/2 also equips with a downward Ethernet channel (10/100M) for transporting IP traffic in addition to legacy TDM data over the IP upward link, thus increasing the application versatility of the gateway.

 Totally transparent to all signaling protocols running over E1
 QoS support for E1 data transport over IP
 Extends either framed (full or fractional Nx64K) or unframed E1 circuits
 Packet transport based on IP address for easy bypassing of in-between switches and routers.
 Auto-sensing 10/100BaseT uplink to the network.
 Auto-sensing 10/100BaseT downward channel for added services applications
 Low processing delay (under 2 msec)
 Enables synchronous clock distribution across IP-based networks
 Minimal jitter and wander
 Allow low-cost deployment with quick installation
 Hot-swappable modules, with expansion flexibility of 1 to 2 E1
 Menu-based configuration setting
 Clocking support: internal, external, network, received clocking from E1 channels
